These terms apply to the Datum client project portal and to the interactive demo at demo.dpow.co.uk. They sit alongside our Website Terms and Privacy Policy.
The public demo (demo.dpow.co.uk) is an illustration. It shows a fictional project ("EC2 Office Fit-Out") with sample, made-up data. It does not represent any real project, client, programme, drawing status or figure, and must not be relied on for any decision. If a demo link greets you by name or company, that comes only from the link we sent you and is shown in your browser - it does not mean we hold a project for you.
Where the portal is used on a real engagement, information presented in it - reports, dashboards, KPIs, drawing registers, RFIs, programmes and status indicators - is provided to give visibility and convenience. It is not contractual information and does not vary, replace or override the contract documents, the formal design information, the issued drawings, or instructions given through the agreed project channels. In the event of any conflict, the formally issued contract and design documents prevail.
Where we provide document-control or reporting services, we aim to keep an appropriate audit trail and version history to support good information management and, where relevant, "golden thread" duties on the client/duty-holder under the Building Safety Act regime. Ultimate responsibility for retaining the golden thread and statutory records rests with the duty-holders for the project. Retention periods for project records are set in the engagement and in our Privacy Policy.
If you upload documents or content to the portal, you confirm you have the right to do so. You keep ownership of your content; you grant us the right to host and process it to provide the service. You are responsible for the accuracy, legality and appropriateness of what you upload, and must not upload anything unlawful, infringing, malicious, or that you are not authorised to share. We may remove content that breaches these terms.
Datum is a reporting and project-visibility tool. Unless expressly agreed in writing for a specific engagement, it is not a full Common Data Environment (CDE) of record, and we make no claim of formal ISO 19650 certification. Where we describe working "in line with" or "informed by" ISO 19650 principles, that describes our approach, not an accreditation. The CDE of record and BIM execution responsibilities remain as defined in the project's information protocols.
The portal and demo are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability and may carry out maintenance or changes. Unless a specific service level is agreed in writing, no uptime commitment applies.
Project information may be confidential. Treat access credentials and any non-public information accordingly and do not share them. You are responsible for compliance with any confidentiality, security or export-control obligations that apply to the information you place in or take from the portal.
Where login is provided, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure, for activity under your account, and for telling us promptly if you suspect any unauthorised access. We use HTTPS and reputable hosting and apply appropriate safeguards (see our Privacy Policy, security section).
The demo is hosted on Vercel. Any Microsoft 365 / SharePoint, cloud storage or other integrations used on a real engagement will be set out and agreed in that engagement's documentation, including the processors involved. International transfers, where they occur, are covered in our Privacy Policy.
If any feature produces summaries or text with automated assistance, that output is provided as a draft aid only, may contain errors, and must be checked by a competent person before use. It is not professional advice and we are not liable for reliance on unchecked automated output. We do not use client or personal data to train AI models.
The liability provisions of our Website Terms apply. For paid portal services, the liability terms of the relevant written engagement take precedence.
